How the chain works
Producers enter or import their data.
Producers enter activity data once, or import results they already have as a CSV.
Producers attach results to inviting buyers.
A producer chooses which result to attach to each buyer that invited them, and can set an optional allocation percentage.
Each buyer sees only what it is entitled to see.
Each downstream buyer sees the data its immediate supplier attached, plus aggregated upstream figures only.
Versioning protects exported figures.
Results are kept as fixed versions, so a change creates a new version and figures you have already exported are left unchanged.
Buyers export a CSV for reporting.
Buyers download their inventory as a CSV to use in their own emissions reporting.
